JETT AND THE NAIL - TESTAMONIAL

Well here's a fun story!

I was away at Master Trainers Camp, a seminar, for 4 days.  Upon returning to the barn on Friday, I noticed the dapples were gone from my paint mare.  Dapples are an important indicator of health for horses, sort of an energetic barometer of well being.  As I gave the paint the once over assessment, my eye was drawn to her feet.  Not wanting to miss anything, I got a hoof pick and carefully picked and looked at each foot.  the last foot I looked at, the right hind revealed a "u shaped" fence nail, half of which was stuck all the way in her foot, near the tip of the frog. 

Yikes!

Apparently, there had been some fence building going and some how a nail got away and buried itself in the sand.  Jett, the paint, found it and stepped on it while I was gone to my class, so it may have been there a couple of days.

I pryed the nail out with the hoof pick and immediately jumped into action, dowsing out as course of care for the wound. 

The information coming back to me sounded something like:

Hi Gabriella,
I can not believe my filly.   It's as though she's just "Chilled".     She's been much more relaxed in general.    During our training sessions she's more receptive and responsive to leg cues and is getting it.   She's trying much harder.     She hasn't spooked once in the past 2 weeks.
I'm having to ease her in to the TNT,   but we're up to 1/2 ration and she's cleaning that up.   I've taken her off the Timothy pellets (tired of buying mildew smelliing product)  so I've increased her PGR to 3 cups per day.    To get her more acceptive to the ACV  I've mixed it   1 part to 2 parts water for now.

I've also done very well since our last session.   You fixed my back pain and muscle spasms I was having.    I just have to remember to routinly do my Morter March pose.
